Hi everyone! I hope everyone is doing well :) Today's topic is religion. Since I was little I was always close to religion, specifically the catholic church. I was baptized when I was like three years old and I went repeatedly to mass, to then make my first communion and later confirmation. I was always very attached, I participated in a choir for many years. My close circle and my friends were from the church, I went recurrently and firmly believed in what I was going to do there. But as the years went by, I felt increasingly far from the people around me there, and the purpose and motivation that I once had, I lost it. I stopped feeling close as I once did. The people, the environment and the church as an institution only began to cause me mistrust and discomfort, and my life, my beliefs and my thoughts no longer fitted with what the church is. So over time, I decided to walk away completely. Even so, I always believed and believe that faith goes ...
The health service in Chile

Hi everyone! Today's question is "What do I think of the health servce in our country?" From my personal experience, I find that the health system in Chile is clearly precarious and very expensive. Today medicines, therapies, tests, in the public system, costs an arm and a leg, so to speak, and therefore cost lives. I find that today, paying for and taking care of health is a privilege that few can afford, at least to pay for good services and treatments, since public attention is slow, precarious, scarce and does not have the necessary elements for good care. Although it is something totally basic and necessary for a good service, it is something that does not exist in the Chilean public system. Photo taken in the middle of the social outburst, October (2019). The public system is so deficient that for an appointment you have to wait months. To pay for treatments, you have to go into huge debt. To be treated in the emergency room, you have to wait many hours. People hav...
How has my political views changed during my lifetime?

Hello everyonee! During my life, my political views have constantly changed. Since I have lived different things and in different contexts throughout my life. Growing up, I wasn't very close to politics and didn't have much of an opinion about it. It was not something that caught my attention, and the school was not something that encouraged the political side. Growing up I noticed things and situations that bothered me, so I was constantly changing, as a political person. I began to create my own opinions and despite being somewhat introverted in that sense, I made my discontent known. I was not very aware of the social problems or injustices that occurred at that time, until I changed schools in 7th grade and started studying in Santiago. What a drastic change in my life and a time in which I developed more and expressed my opinion. I met different realities and different people, and I came out of the bubble of the town where I live.

My experience with this blog has been very entertaining and interesting😊. I've had a great time and I think it has helped me a lot in all this time, dedicating this extra time to English I think is quite helpful and it is also very nice to read and comment on the blogs of my classmates, to get to know them a little beyond the screen. I really enjoyed it because it's something I've never done before, and because it was fun to write about topics that I like. I think that for me it has more advantages than disadvantages, since I have enjoyed it, I can't really think of a disadvantage right now, just maybe that it takes a long time to think, plan and do, but anyway, for me it is more an advantage, since it is time invested in practicing and learning, and reading the blogs of my classmates. I honestly don't have any suggestions, it was really nice, maybe I even took the idea from the blog to use it constantly😂😂😂 so I hope the blog can continue💜

My favorite subject so far and this semester has been one of the most practical, and that is the engraving workshop. In class, we mainly review the progress of the work, as it is extremely important in practical workshops like this one, but we have also reviewed content to learn more about woodcut, such as works of artists in the area of engraving. This semester, we have mainly seen only one type of engraving, which is the Xylography, which is the carving on wood. Also, we look at important things such as the composition of the work and also analyze the type of support material, as this can vary, whether it is a piece of wood found in your backyard or something you bought at the stationery store. I have learned to work with woodworking tools called gouges, as well as tools and materials that I had never used before, such as letterpress ink or the variety of supports. I really like all of this this because it's something new that I had never done before this year, it's a new ch...

Choosing a photo was quite difficult, but searching I came across these that were taken the same day, from a little trip we took with my friends in July 2019, more or less in winter vacations. We went to Lota, a small cove located about a few hours from Concepción. This photo was taken by me, and you can see my friends walking towards a place that we went right after this photo, which were something like ruins, we climbed very high to a kind of abandoned building. This a selfie from the same day, so I wanted to incorporate it as well. The truth is that it was a very special day and a very special trip, that's why I chose this pictures, because it brings me back very nice memories, and it takes me to a very happy place. Fun fact: I remember the day before, my friends cut my hair, which was a big change for me, and my friends encouraged me to do it, as I was a bit terrified 😂😅. We walked, toured and hiked a lot, did a lot of things and had a great...
