My favorite subjet

 My favorite subject so far and this semester has been one of the most practical, and that is the engraving workshop.

In class, we mainly review the progress of the work, as it is extremely important in practical workshops like this one, but we have also reviewed content to learn more about woodcut, such as works of artists in the area of engraving.This semester, we have mainly seen only one type of engraving, which is the Xylography, which is the carving on wood. Also, we look at important things such as the composition of the work and also analyze the type of support material, as this can vary, whether it is a piece of wood found in your backyard or something you bought at the stationery store.

I have learned to work with woodworking tools called gouges, as well as tools and materials that I had never used before, such as letterpress ink or the variety of supports. I really like all of this this because it's something new that I had never done before this year, it's a new challenge and so far I've enjoyed it a lot. I really want to have this subject in person, I feel that I would like to work even more with colleagues next to me, to share with them and it would be much more comfortable if we all had the necessary space to work. So I hope we can go there soon😢💖
