Religion
Hi everyone! I hope everyone is doing well :) Today's topic is religion.
Since I was little I was always close to religion, specifically the catholic church. I was baptized when I was like three years old and I went repeatedly to mass, to then make my first communion and later confirmation. I was always very attached, I participated in a choir for many years. My close circle and my friends were from the church, I went recurrently and firmly believed in what I was going to do there.
But as the years went by, I felt increasingly far from the people around me there, and the purpose and motivation that I once had, I lost it. I stopped feeling close as I once did. The people, the environment and the church as an institution only began to cause me mistrust and discomfort, and my life, my beliefs and my thoughts no longer fitted with what the church is. So over time, I decided to walk away completely.
Even so, I always believed and believe that faith goes further than a church, than a mass or a priest, and that it is not necessarily something religious.
So each one should be able to express and live their faith as they pleases, whatever this is. No one should be judged for their beliefs, and I truly think it is totally valid to believe in what you want and in the way you want, as long as you do not limit the freedom of the other. Always preach respect!
Thank u for reading! Take care💜.
Hi Maca! I really liked the topic you touched here in your blog. It is important to talk about it is common to walk away of religion and it is common too to start being religious at an "old age". It is very true that faith can be found in different places and reasons so yes, we need to be respectful with the choises of the people.
ResponderBorrarHi Maca! Years ago, I started going to church and I felt so great but then I lost it too, I didn't feel well with my myself, I don't know why. I agree with you on that faith goes further than a church, in my opinion, faith is in you. Hope you have a great weekend!

ResponderBorrarHi, well I must say that it happened the same to me about religions, but with the Evangelical church, I walk away too because my beliefs didn't fit from what I used to, so it kinda felt wrong stay there. After that, I try to live with an open mind and keep my faith like something personal, without judging anyone because of what they believes or not.
I very much agree with what you say, we all have the right to choose in what to believe, whether we believe in ourselves or in a divine figure. Different things make sense to us and we look for answers according to those things.
ResponderBorrarAs you say, the important thing is to be able to express and at the same time respect our faith and that of others.
Hello Maca! Like you, I believe that faith is something that goes beyond religion. Faith, energies, God, whatever one wants to call it is something that each one lives in a personal way and that deserves respect.
